حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمُ بْنُ كُلَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَ
لَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ رَآنِي فِي الْمَنَامِ فَقَدْ رَآنِي فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ لَا يَتَمَثَّلُ بِي وَقَالَ ابْنُ فُضَيْلٍ مَرَّةً يَتَخَيَّلُ بِي فَإِنَّ رُؤْيَا الْعَبْدِ الْمُؤْمِنِ الصَّادِقَةَ الصَّالِحَةَ جُزْءٌ مِنْ سَبْعِينَ جُزْءًا مِنْ النُّبُوَّةِ

English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Hurayra (رضي الله عنه) — via Muhammad ibn Fudayl, from 'Asim ibn Kulaib, from his father — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Whoever sees me in a dream has truly seen me — for Satan cannot take my form.' Ibn Fudayl said on another occasion: '...cannot appear in my likeness.' 'For the true, righteous dream of a believing servant is one part of seventy parts of prophethood.'
