English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Hurayra (رضي الله عنه) — via Yazid [ibn Harun], from Muhammad ibn Ishaq, from Abu al-Zinad, from al-A'raj — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'The likeness of the miser [al-bakhil] and the one who gives [al-munfiq] is like two men wearing iron coats [jubba] from their chests to their collarbones. As for the one who gives — every time he spends, [a ring] widens in its place, so it [continues to] expand upon him. As for the miser — [the coat] only tightens its grip upon him [with every refusal to spend].'
