قَالَ أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ حَتَّى يُقْبَضَ الْعِلْمُ وَتَظْهَرَ الْفِتَنُ وَيَكْثُرَ الْهَرْجُ قَالُوا وَمَا الْهَرْجُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ الْقَتْلُ حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ حَدَّثَنِي عِيَاضُ بْنُ دِينَارٍ
اللَّيْثِيُّ وَكَانَ ثِقَةً عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ وَهُوَ يَخْطُبُ النَّاسَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ خَلِيفَةَ مَرْوَانَ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ عَلَى الْمَدِينَةِ أَيَّامَ الْحَجِّ يَقُولُ قَالَ أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَوَّلُ زُمْرَةٍ وَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ

English Translation
[Via the same chain]: Abu al-Qasim (ﷺ) said: 'The Hour will not be established until knowledge is taken away, fitna [civil strife] appears, and al-harj becomes widespread.' They said: 'What is al-harj, O Messenger of Allah?' He said: 'Killing.' [Ahmad also narrated it] via Ya'qub [ibn Ibrahim] → his father [Ibrahim ibn Sa'd] → Ibn Ishaq → 'Iyad ibn Dinar al-Laythi (who was reliable/thiqa) → his father who said: I heard Abu Hurayra delivering a sermon to the people on a Friday — as the deputy [khalifa] of Marwan ibn al-Hakam as governor of al-Madina, during the days of Hajj — saying: 'Abu al-Qasim (ﷺ) said: "The first group..."' — and he mentioned the hadith [of the first group entering Paradise — hadith 574].
