English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Hurayra (رضي الله عنه) — via Yazid [ibn Harun], from Muhammad [ibn Ishaq], from Abu al-Zinad, from al-A'raj — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Leave me as I leave you — for those before you were destroyed by their [excessive] questioning and their differing with their prophets. When I forbid you from something, avoid it. And when I command you with something, do as much of it as you are able.'
