English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Hurayra (رضي الله عنه) — via Abu Kamil, from Ibrahim [ibn Sa'd] and Ya'qub, from his father, from Ibn Shihab, from 'Ubaydullah ibn 'Abdillah — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Let none of you wish for death — if he is a person of good, perhaps he will increase in good; and if he is a wrongdoer, perhaps he will be given the opportunity to repent and make amends.'
