English Translation

It was narrated from Abu Hurayra (رضي الله عنه) — via 'Abd al-A'la, from Ma'mar, from Muhammad ibn Ziyad — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'When one of you puts on sandals, let him start with the right. And when he takes them off, let him start with the left.' And he said: 'Wear them both [together]' [i.e., do not walk with one sandal on and one off — either wear both or remove both].
