English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Hurayra (رضي الله عنه) — via 'Abd al-Razzaq, from Sufyan, from al-A'mash, from Dhakwan — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Every good deed [hasana] of the son of Adam is multiplied tenfold up to seven hundredfold — except fasting, for it is Mine and I give the reward for it. He abandons his desire for My sake and he abandons his food for My sake. The fasting person has two joys: a joy at his breaking of fast, and a joy when he meets his Lord (عز وجل). And the breath of the fasting person's mouth is more pleasing to Allah than the scent of musk.'
