حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ أُنَيْسٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّ الْمُؤَذِّنَ يُغْفَرُ لَهُ مَدَى صَوْتِهِ وَيُصَدِّقُهُ كُلُّ رَطْبٍ وَيَابِسٍ سَمِعَهُ وَالشَّاهِدُ عَلَيْهِ خَمْسَةً وَعِشْرِينَ دَرَجَةً
English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Hurayra (رضي الله عنه) — via 'Abd al-Razzaq, from Ma'mar, from Mansur, from 'Abbad ibn Unays — from the Prophet ﷺ: 'The muezzin is forgiven up to the extent of his voice, and every moist and dry thing that hears him bears witness for him — and the one who attends [the congregation] earns twenty-five degrees [above the one who does not].'
