English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Hurayra (رضي الله عنه) — via 'Abd al-Razzaq and 'Abd al-A'la, from Ma'mar, from al-Zuhri, from Abu Salama — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'There is no [belief in] contagion [la 'adwa], no [ill omen of] Safar, and no [belief in the] hama [the spirit of the deceased].' A Bedouin said: 'Then what about camels that are in the sandy [desert] like gazelles — then a mangy camel mingles with them and infects them?' the Prophet ﷺ said: 'Then who infected the first one?'
