English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Hurayra (رضي الله عنه) — via 'Abd al-Razzaq, from Ma'mar, from al-Zuhri, from Ibn al-Musayyab and al-A'raj — that he said: 'The worst food is the food of the wedding feast [walima] — the wealthy are invited and the poor are left out. And it is [an obligation that is] a right — whoever abandons it has disobeyed.' Ma'mar would sometimes say: 'Whoever does not respond to the invitation has disobeyed Allah and His Messenger.'
