English Translation

It was narrated from Abu Hurayra (رضي الله عنه) — via 'Abd al-Razzaq, from Ma'mar, from al-Zuhri, from Abu Salama ibn 'Abd al-Rahman and Abu Bakr ibn Sulayman ibn Abi Hathma — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed Zuhr — or 'Asr — and gave salam after two rak'as. Dhu al-Shimalyn ibn 'Abd 'Amr — who was an ally of Banu Zuhra — said to him: 'Was the prayer shortened or did you forget?' the Prophet ﷺ said: 'What does Dhu al-Yadayn say?' They said: 'He is right, O Prophet of Allah.' So he completed the two [missing] rak'as with them.
