حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ وَعَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ أَن
َّهُمَا حَدَّثَاهُ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِذَا قَالَ الْإِمَامُ { غَيْرِ الْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا الضَّالِّينَ } فَقُولُوا آمِينَ فَإِنَّ الْمَلَائِكَةَ يَقُولُونَ آمِينَ وَإِنَّ الْإِمَامَ يَقُولُ آمِينَ فَمَنْ وَافَقَ تَأْمِينُهُ تَأْمِينَ الْمَلَائِكَةِ غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ

English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Hurayra (رضي الله عنه) — via 'Abd al-A'la, from Ma'mar, from al-Zuhri — from Sa'id ibn al-Musayyab AND Abu Salama ibn 'Abd al-Rahman, both narrating from Abu Hurayra — that the Prophet ﷺ said: 'When the imam recites {Not of those upon whom is Your anger, nor of those who are astray} [1:7], say: Amin — for indeed the angels say Amin and the imam says Amin. Whoever's Amin coincides with the Amin of the angels, his past sins are forgiven.'
