English Translation

It was narrated from Abu Hurayra (رضي الله عنه) — via 'Abd al-Razzaq, from Ma'mar, from Suhayl ibn Abi Salih, from his father — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'There is no man who withholds the zakat of his wealth — except that on the Day of Resurrection, flat sheets of fire will be made from it, with which his forehead, cheek, and back will be branded — on a Day whose measure is fifty thousand years. [His wealth in the form of camels] will trample him with their hooves' — I [the narrator] think he said: 'and bite him with their mouths — the first of them returning after the last, until judgment is passed between the people. Then he will see his path [to Paradise or Fire]. And if [the unpaid zakat was from] sheep — likewise — except that they will gore him with their horns and trample him with their hooves.'
