English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Hurayra (رضي الله عنه) — via 'Abd al-A'la, from Ma'mar, from al-Zuhri, from Sa'id — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'They will abandon Medina while it is in the best state it has ever been. No one will frequent it except the 'awafi' — meaning scavenging beasts and birds. And the last to be gathered [for the Day of Resurrection] will be two shepherds from Muzayna, calling out to their flocks — and they will find them turned into wild animals. When they reach Thaniyyat al-Wada', they will be gathered while fallen on their faces — or they will fall on their faces.'
