حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ كَذَا قَالَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ جَاءَ وَذَكَرَ حَدِيثَ الْفَزَارِيِّ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ وَلَدَتْ امْرَأَتِي غُلَامًا أَسْوَدَ وَهُوَ حِينَئِذٍ يُعَرِّضُ بِأَنْ يَنْفِيَهُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى ا
للَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَلَكَ إِبِلٌ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ مَا أَلْوَانُهَا قَالَ حُمْرٌ قَالَ أَفِيهَا أَوْرَقُ قَالَ نَعَمْ فِيهَا ذَوْدٌ وُرْقٌ قَالَ مِمَّ ذَاكَ تَرَى قَالَ مَا أَدْرِي لَعَلَّهُ أَنْ يَكُونَ نَزَعَهَا عِرْقٌ قَالَ وَهَذَا لَعَلَّهُ أَنْ يَكُونَ نَزَعَهُ عِرْقٌ وَلَمْ يُرَخِّصْ لَهُ فِي الِانْتِفَاءِ مِنْهُ

English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Hurayra (رضي الله عنه) — via 'Abd al-Razzaq, from Ma'mar, from al-Zuhri, from Ibn al-Musayyab — that a man [al-Fazari] came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: 'My wife gave birth to a black boy' — implying he wished to disown him. the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Do you have camels?' He said: 'Yes.' He said: 'What are their colors?' He said: 'Red.' He said: 'Is there a grey one among them?' He said: 'Yes, there are some grey ones.' He said: 'Where do you think that came from?' He said: 'I do not know — perhaps a hidden trait [irq] pulled it out.' He said: 'And this [boy] — perhaps a hidden trait pulled it out.' And he did not grant him permission to disown the child.
