English Translation

It was narrated from Abu Hurayra (رضي الله عنه) — via 'Abd al-Rahman, from Malik, from al-Zuhri, from Abu Idris — that the Prophet ﷺ said: 'Whoever performs wudu, let him blow [water] out through his nose [istinthar — sniffing water in and expelling it]; and whoever uses [stones for] istijmar [cleaning after relieving oneself], let him use an odd number.'
