English Translation

It was narrated from Abu Hurayra (رضي الله عنه) — via Ibn Mahdi, from Malik, from al-'Ala' ibn 'Abd al-Rahman, from his father — that the Prophet ﷺ said: 'Do not come to the prayer while rushing. Come to it with tranquility and dignity [al-sakina]. Pray whatever you catch [with the imam], and complete [what you missed].'
