حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ سُلَيْمٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ مِنْ آلِ ابْنِ الْأَزْرَقِ عَنِ الْمُغِي
رَةِ بْنِ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ فِي مَاءِ الْبَحْرِ هُوَ الطَّهُورُ مَاؤُهُ الْحَلَالُ مَيْتَتُهُ

English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Hurayra (رضي الله عنه) — via 'Abd al-Rahman, from Malik, from Safwan ibn Sulaym, from Sa'id ibn Salama of the family of Ibn al-Azraq, from al-Mughira ibn Abi Burda — that the Prophet ﷺ said regarding the water of the sea: 'It is purifying [al-tahur] — its water; and lawful [halal] — its dead creatures [carrion].'
