‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏عَتَّابُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُبَارَكٍ ‏ ‏أَخْبَرَنَا ‏ ‏مَعْمَرٌ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏هَمَّامِ بْنِ مُنَبِّهٍ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ‏ ‏عَنْ النَّبِيِّ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏أَنَّهُ كَانَ ‏ ‏إِذَا اسْتَنْشَقَ أَدْخَلَ الْمَاءَ ‏ ‏فِي مَنْخِرَيْهِ ‏

English Translation

It was narrated from Abu Hurayra (رضي الله عنه) — via 'Attab ibn Ziyad, from 'Abd Allah ibn al-Mubarak, from Ma'mar, from Hammam ibn Munabbih — that the Prophet ﷺ, when he performed istinshaq (sniffing water into the nose during wudu), would draw the water deep into his nostrils.
