حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ هِشَامَ بْنَ حَسَّانَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ قَالَ كُنْتُ
عِنْدَ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ فَسَأَلَهُ رَجُلٌ عَنْ شَيْءٍ لَمْ أَدْرِ مَا هُوَ قَالَ فَقَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ سَأَلَ عَنْهَا اثْنَانِ وَهَذَا الثَّالِثُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ رِجَالًا سَتَرْتَفِعُ بِهِمْ الْمَسْأَلَةُ حَتَّى يَقُولُوا اللَّهُ خَلَقَ الْخَلْقَ فَمَنْ خَلَقَهُ

English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Hurayra (رضي الله عنه) — via 'Abd al-Razzaq, from Hisham ibn Hassan, from Muhammad ibn Sirin — who said: 'I was with Abu Hurayra when a man asked him about something — I did not know what it was. Abu Hurayra said: "Allahu Akbar! Two people have already asked about this, and this is the third. I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'Questioning will keep rising among men until they say: Allah created creation — but who created Him?'"'
