English Translation
He (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that i recited upon Abd al-Rahman: Malik, from Sumayy, the freed slave of Abu Bakr, from Abu Salih al-Samman, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه), that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'If the people knew what is in the adhan (call to prayer) and the first row, and they could not get it except by drawing lots, they would draw lots. And if they knew what is in going early (to the mosque), they would race to it. And if they knew what is in 'Isha and Fajr prayer, they would come to them even if they had to crawl.'
