Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi narrated to us, from Musa — meaning Ibn 'Ali — from his father, from Abd al-'Aziz ibn Marwan, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه), from the Prophet ﷺ who said: 'When the son of Adam dies, his deeds are cut off except for three: ongoing charity, knowledge that is benefited from, and a righteous child who prays for him.'
