English Translation

Abu Kamil narrated to us, Hammad narrated to us, from Khalid al-Hadhdha', from Shahr ibn Hawshab, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) who said: When the delegation of Abd al-Qays departed, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'A people have come — they are not seeking to ask about worldly matters.' When they entered upon him, he said: 'Glad tidings, O delegation of Abd al-Qays!' They said: 'O Messenger of Allah, we come from a far distance, and between us and you is the land of the disbelievers of Mudar.'
