English Translation
Hashim narrated to us, Layth narrated to us, from Ja'far ibn Rabi'ah, from Abd al-Rahman ibn Hurmuz, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه), from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ who said: 'When you hear the rooster crowing, ask Allah for His bounty, for it has seen an angel. And when you hear the braying of a donkey, seek refuge with Allah from the Shaytan, for it has seen a shaytan.'
