English Translation
Hashim ibn al-Qasim narrated to us, Layth narrated to us, Sa'id — meaning al-Maqburi — narrated to me, from Abu 'Ubaydah, from Sa'id ibn Yasar, that he heard Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) say: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Whoever gives in charity the equivalent of a date from lawful earnings — and Allah accepts only what is lawful — Allah will take it with His right hand, then nurture it for its owner as one of you nurtures his foal, until it becomes like a mountain.'
