حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ وَإِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عِيسَى الْمَعْنَى وَاللَّفْظُ لَفْظُ يَحْيَى بْنِ آدَمَ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ جَرِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ جَرِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ دَخَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَل
َيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْخَلَاءَ فَأَتَيْتُهُ بِتَوْرٍ فِيهِ مَاءٌ فَاسْتَنْجَى ثُمَّ مَسَحَ يَدَهُ فِي الْأَرْضِ ثُمَّ غَسَلَهَا ثُمَّ أَتَيْتُهُ بِتَوْرٍ آخَرَ فَتَوَضَّأَ بِهِ قَالَ أَبِي قَالَ أَسْوَدُ يَعْنِي شَاذَانَ فِي هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ إِذَا دَخَلَ الْخَلَاءَ أَتَيْتُهُ بِمَاءٍ فِي تَوْرٍ أَوْ فِي رَكْوَةٍ وَذَكَرَهُ بِإِسْنَادِهِ

English Translation
Yahya ibn Adam and Ishaq ibn 'Isa narrated to us — the meaning is the same and the wording is that of Yahya ibn Adam — they said: Sharik narrated to us, from Ibrahim ibn Jarir, from Abu Zur'ah, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'People are like mines, like mines of gold and silver. The best of them in jahiliyyah are the best of them in Islam, if they gain understanding.'
