حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ حَدَّثَنَا رَبَاحٌ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ع
َنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ يَأْتِي أَحَدَكُمْ فِي صَلَاتِهِ فَلَا يَدْرِي أَنْ زَادَ أَمْ نَقَصَ فَإِذَا وَجَدَ أَحَدُكُمْ ذَلِكَ فَلْيَسْجُدْ سَجْدَتَيْنِ

English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Hurayra (رضي الله عنه) — via Ibrahim, from Rabah, from Ma'mar, from al-Zuhri, from Abu Salama — that the Prophet ﷺ said: 'Satan comes to one of you during his prayer and confuses him so that he does not know whether he prayed more or less [rak'as]. When one of you finds that — let him prostrate two prostrations [sajdat al-sahw — the prostration of forgetfulness].'
