English Translation

Yahya ibn Adam narrated to us, Ibn Mubarak narrated to us, from Ma'mar, from Hammam ibn Munabbih, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه), from the Prophet ﷺ who said: 'Adam and Musa عليهما السلام debated. Musa said: O Adam, you are our father who let us down and expelled us from Paradise. Adam said: O Musa, Allah chose you with His speech and wrote the Torah for you with His hand. Do you blame me for a matter that Allah had decreed for me forty years before He created me? So Adam won the argument over Musa.'
