Yahya ibn Adam narrated to us, Ibn Mubarak narrated to us, from Ma'mar, from Hammam ibn Munabbih, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه), from the Prophet ﷺ who said: 'None of you should say: O Allah, forgive me if You will, O Allah have mercy on me if You will. Rather let him be firm in his asking, for there is no one who can compel Allah.'
