Hadith #330
Arabic Text
وَقَالَ أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَثَلِي وَمَثَلُ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ مِنْ قَبْلِي كَمَثَلِ رَجُلٍ ابْتَنَى بُيُوتًا فَأَحْسَنَهَا وَأَكْمَلَهَا وَأَجْمَلَهَا إِلَّا مَوْضِعَ لَبِنَةٍ مِنْ زَاوِيَةٍ مِنْ زَوَايَاهَا فَجَعَلَ النَّاسُ يَطُوفُونَ وَيُعْجِبُهُمْ الْبُنْيَانُ فَيَقُولُونَ أَلَا وَضَعْتَ هَاهُنَا لَبِنَةً فَيَتِمُّ بُنْيَانُكَ فَقَالَ مُحَمَّدٌ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَكُنْتُ أَنَا اللَّبِنَةَ
English Translation
And Abu al-Qasim ﷺ said: 'My likeness and the likeness of the Prophet ﷺs before me is like a man who built houses and made them beautiful, complete, and perfect — except for the place of one brick. The people began going around it, admiring it, and saying: If only this brick were put in place! I am that brick, and I am the seal of the Prophet ﷺs.'
