Hadith #386
Arabic Text
وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَلَقَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ آدَمَ عَلَى صُورَتِهِ طُولُهُ سِتُّونَ ذِرَاعًا فَلَمَّا خَلَقَهُ قَالَ لَهُ اذْهَبْ فَسَلِّمْ عَلَى أُولَئِكَ النَّفَرِ وَهُمْ نَفَرٌ مِنْ الْمَلَائِكَةِ جُلُوسٌ وَاسْتَمِعْ مَا يُجِيبُونَكَ فَإِنَّهَا تَحِيَّتُكَ وَتَحِيَّةُ ذُرِّيَّتِكَ قَالَ فَذَهَبَ فَقَالَ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ فَقَالُوا السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ فَزَادُوهُ رَحْمَةَ اللَّهِ قَالَ فَكُلُّ مَنْ يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ عَلَى صُورَةِ آدَمَ وَطُولُهُ سِتُّونَ ذِرَاعًا فَلَمْ يَزَلْ يَنْقُصُ الْخَلْقُ بَعْدُ حَتَّى الْآنَ
English Translation
the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Allah, Mighty and Majestic, created Adam in His image, sixty cubits tall. When He created him, He said: Go and greet that group of angels sitting there and listen to how they greet you, for that shall be your greeting and the greeting of your descendants. He said: As-salamu alaykum. They said: As-salamu alayka wa rahmatullah. They added wa rahmatullah.'
