حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ ب

ْنِ الْمُنْتَشِرِ عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ أَفْضَلُ الصَّلَاةِ بَعْدَ الْمَفْرُوضَةِ صَلَاةٌ فِي جَوْفِ اللَّيْلِ وَأَفْضَلُ الصِّيَامِ بَعْدَ شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ شَهْرُ اللَّهِ الَّذِي تَدْعُونَهُ الْمُحَرَّمَ

English Translation

'Affan narrated to us, Abu 'Awanah narrated to us, 'Abd al-Malik ibn 'Umayr narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn al-Muntashir, from Humayd ibn 'Abd al-Rahman, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'The best fasting after Ramadan is the month of Allah, Muharram. And the best prayer after the obligatory prayers is the night prayer.'
