حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ مَنْ قَتَلَ الْوَزَغَ فِي الضَّرْبَةِ الْأُولَى فَلَهُ كَذَا وَكَ

ذَا حَسَنَةً وَمَنْ قَتَلَهُ فِي الثَّانِيَةِ فَلَهُ كَذَا وَكَذَا حَسَنَةً وَمَنْ قَتَلَهُ فِي الثَّالِثَةِ فَلَهُ كَذَا وَكَذَا قَالَ سُهَيْلٌ الْأُولَى أَكْثَرُ

English Translation

Hasan narrated to us, Zuhayr narrated to us, from Suhayl ibn Abi Salih, from his father, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Whoever kills a gecko with the first strike will have such-and-such reward. Whoever kills it with the second strike will have such-and-such, less than the first.'
