English Translation

Aswad ibn 'Amir and Muhammad ibn Sabiq narrated to us, they said: Isra'il narrated to us, from Abu Husayn, from Abu Salih, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Every deed of the son of Adam is multiplied — a good deed is rewarded ten to seven hundred times its like. Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, said: Except fasting, for it is for Me and I shall reward for it. He leaves his desire and his food for My sake. The fasting person has two joys: a joy when he breaks his fast and a joy when he meets his Lord. And the breath of the fasting person is more pleasant to Allah than the scent of musk.'
