‏ ‏و قَالَ ‏ ‏أَسْوَدُ ‏ ‏بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ ‏ ‏قَالَ ‏ ‏قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏إِذَا كَانَ يَوْمُ صَوْمِ أَحَدِكُمْ فَلَا ‏ ‏يَرْفُثْ ‏ ‏وَلَا يَفْسُقْ وَلَا يَجْهَلْ فَإِنْ جُهِلَ عَلَيْهِ فَلْيَقُلْ إِنِّي امْرُؤٌ صَائِمٌ ‏

English Translation

And Aswad said with this chain: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'When it is the day one of you is fasting, let him not engage in rafath (obscene speech) nor fusuq (sinfulness) nor jahl (ignorance/foolishness). If someone insults him or fights him, let him say: I am fasting.'
