English Translation

Husayn ibn Muhammad narrated to us, Ibn Abi al-Zinad narrated to us, from his father, from al-A'raj, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'The parable of me and the people is that of a man who lit a fire, and when it illuminated what was around it, moths and insects began falling into it, and he was trying to push them away. I am holding on to your waistbands (to keep you) from the Fire, but you are slipping from my hands.'
