حَدَّثَنَا مَكِّيٌّ حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ هَاشِمٍ عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ كِنَانَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَتَّى إِذَا كُنَّا تَحْتَ ثَنِيَّةِ لِفْتٍ طَلَعَ عَلَيْنَا
خَالِدُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ مِنْ الثَّنِيَّةِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ انْظُرْ مَنْ هَذَا قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ خَالِدُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نِعْمَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ هَذَا

English Translation
Makki narrated to us, Hashim ibn Hashim narrated to us, from Ishaq ibn 'Abdullah ibn al-Harith ibn Kinanah, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) who said: We went out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on a military expedition and we ran out of provisions. We said: 'O Messenger of Allah, permit us to slaughter the camels.' 'Umar (رضي الله عنه) said: 'O Messenger of Allah, if you ordered the people to bring what remains of their food, then supplicated to Allah over it, perhaps Allah would bless it.' the Prophet ﷺ did so, and he supplicated for blessing. Then he said: 'Bring your vessels.' They filled their vessels and there was still some left.
