حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حَفْصٍ قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا وَرْقَاءُ عَنْ أَبِي الزِّ

نَادِ عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَلَا تَعْجَبُونَ كَيْفَ يُصْرَفُ عَنِّي شَتْمُ قُرَيْشٍ يَشْتِمُونَ مُذَمَّمًا وَأَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ وَيَلْعَنُونَ مُذَمَّمًا وَأَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ

English Translation
'Ali ibn Hafs narrated to us who said: Warqa' informed us, from Abu al-Zinad, from al-A'raj, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'While a man was walking on a road, he found a thorny branch on the road and removed it. Allah appreciated his action and forgave him.'
