Hadith #432
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيٌّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا وَرْقَاءُ عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ
عَنْ الْأَعْرَجِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَأَسْلَمُ وَغِفَارٌ وَجُهَيْنَةُ وَمَنْ كَانَ مِنْ مُزَيْنَةَ أَوْ مُزَيْنَةُ وَمَنْ كَانَ مِنْ جُهَيْنَةَ خَيْرٌ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مِنْ أَسَدٍ وطَيِّئٍ وَغَطَفَانَ

English Translation
'Ali narrated to us who said: Warqa' informed us, from Abu al-Zinad, from al-A'raj, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Every child is born upon the fitrah (natural disposition). Then his parents make him a Jew, a Christian, or a Magian, just as an animal produces a perfect young animal. Do you see any deficiency in it?'
