English Translation

Ishaq ibn 'Isa narrated to us, Malik informed us, from al-'Ala', from his father, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out to the cemetery and said: 'Peace be upon you, O abode of believing people. We will, if Allah wills, join you. I wish we had seen our brothers.' They said: 'Are we not your brothers, O Messenger of Allah?' He said: 'You are my companions. Our brothers are those who have not yet come.' They said: 'How will you recognize those of your Ummah who have not yet come?' He said: 'If a man had horses with white blazes and white feet among entirely dark horses, would he not recognize his horses?' They said: 'Yes.' He said: 'They will come on the Day of Resurrection with white blazes and white feet from ablution, and I will precede them to the Hawd (Basin).'
