English Translation

Ishaq narrated to us, Malik informed us, from Suhayl, from his father, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) that a man from Aslam said: Last night while I was sleeping, I saw a cloud from which ghee and honey were raining. I saw people collecting it in their palms — some gathered much and some gathered little. And I saw a rope stretching from the heavens to the earth. I saw you, O Messenger of Allah, hold onto it and rise up. Then another man held it and rose up. Then another man held it and rose up. Then another man held it and it broke, then it was reconnected and he rose up. Abu Bakr said: 'O Messenger of Allah, may my father and mother be sacrificed for you, by Allah, let me interpret it.' the Prophet ﷺ said: 'Interpret it.' He interpreted the dream, and the Prophet ﷺ said: 'You got some right and some wrong.'
