حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ بَحْرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُعْتَمِرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَبِي رَ
افِعٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَمَّا خَلَقَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ خَلْقَهُ كَتَبَ غَلَبَتْ أَوْ سَبَقَتْ رَحْمَتِي غَضَبِي فَهُوَ عِنْدَهُ عَلَى الْعَرْشِ

English Translation
'Ali ibn Bahr narrated to us who said: Mu'tamir ibn Sulayman narrated to us, from his father, from Qatadah, from Abu Rafi', from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'When one of you leads the people in prayer, let him shorten it, for behind him are the weak, the sick, and the elderly. And when one of you prays alone, let him lengthen it as much as he wishes.'
