English Translation
Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us who (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that 'Awf narrated to us, from al-Hasan who said: It reached me that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'When the call to prayer is given, Shaytan turns and runs, passing gas, so that he cannot hear the adhan. When the adhan is finished, he returns. When the iqamah is called, he turns and runs. When the iqamah is finished, he returns until he whispers to a man, saying: Remember this, remember that — things the man was not thinking of — until the man does not know how much he prayed.'
