English Translation
Muhammad ibn Abi 'Adi narrated to us, from Humayd, from Bakr, from Abu Rafi', from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) who said: I met the Prophet ﷺ on one of the streets of Madinah while I was in a state of janabah (major ritual impurity). I slipped away from him and went to bathe. the Prophet ﷺ missed me, and when I came to him he said: 'Where were you?' I said: 'I was in a state of janabah, and I did not want to sit with you while I was impure.' the Prophet ﷺ said: 'Subhan Allah! The believer does not become impure.'
