Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنِ الْأَغَرِّ أَبِي مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ أَشْهَدُ عَلَى أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ وَأَبِي سَعِيدٍ أَنَّهُمَا شَهِدَا عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُمْهِلُ حَتَّى يَذْهَبَ ثُلُثُ اللَّيْلِ ثُ
مَّ يَهْبِطُ فَيَقُولُ هَلْ مِنْ دَاعٍ فَيُسْتَجَابُ لَهُ هَلْ مِنْ مُسْتَغْفِرٍ فَيُغْفَرُ لَهُ و قَالَ عَفَّانُ وَكَانَ أَبُو عَوَانَةَ حَدَّثَنَا بِأَحَادِيثَ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ثُمَّ بَلَغَنِي بَعْدُ أَنَّهُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُهَا مِنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ وَأَحْسَبُ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ فِيهَا

English Translation
'Affan narrated to us who said: Abu 'Awanah narrated to us, from Abu Ishaq, from al-Agharr Abu Muslim who said: I bear witness that Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) and Abu Sa'id (رضي الله عنه) both bore witness that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'No group sits remembering Allah except that the angels surround them, mercy covers them, tranquility descends upon them, and Allah mentions them among those who are with Him.'
