Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ الطَّوِيلِ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ وَغَيْرِهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ وَلَا أَعْلَمُهُ إِلَّا عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ
وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ رَأَى عِيسَى عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام رَجُلًا يَسْرِقُ فَقَالَ لَهُ يَا فُلَانُ أَسَرَقْتَ قَالَ لَا وَاللَّهِ مَا سَرَقْتُ قَالَ آمَنْتُ بِاللَّهِ وَكَذَّبْتُ بَصَرِي

English Translation
'Affan narrated to us, Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, from Humayd al-Tawil, from al-Hasan and others, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) — and I do not know it except as raised to the Prophet ﷺ — who said: 'The Mufarridun have gone ahead.' They said: 'Who are the Mufarridun?' He said: 'Those men and women who remember Allah much.'
