Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيٌّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو صَفْوَانَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ عَنِ ابنِ شِهَابٍ قَالَ أَخْب
َرَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ الْمُسَيَّبِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِلْمَدِينَةِ لَتَتْرُكَنَّهَا عَلَى خَيْرِ مَا كَانَتْ مُذَلَّلَةً لِلْعَوَافِي يَعْنِي السِّبَاعَ وَالطَّيْرَ

English Translation
'Ali narrated to us who said: Abu Safwan narrated to us who said: Yunus informed me, from Ibn Shihab who said: Sa'id ibn al-Musayyab informed me that he heard Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) say: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'We are more deserving of doubt than Ibrahim. When Ibrahim said: My Lord, show me how You give life to the dead, He said: Have you not believed? He said: Yes, but so that my heart may be at rest. And may Allah have mercy upon Lut; he had certainly taken refuge in a strong support. And had I remained in prison as long as Yusuf did, I would have answered the caller.'
