Chain of Narration (Isnad)
حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ سَمِعَ أَبَا عُبَيْدٍ قَالَ شَهِدْتُ الْعِي
Body (Matn)
دَ مَعَ عُمَرَ فَبَدَأَ بِالصَّلَاةِ قَبْلَ الْخُطْبَةِ وَقَالَ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْ صِيَامِ هَذَيْنِ الْيَوْمَيْنِ أَمَّا يَوْمُ الْفِطْرِ فَفِطْرُكُمْ مِنْ صَوْمِكُمْ وَأَمَّا يَوْمُ الْأَضْحَى فَكُلُوا مِنْ لَحْمِ نُسُكِكُمْ
Isnad Chain
English Translation
It was narrated that 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Do not praise me as the Christians praised 'Eesa ibn Maryam عليه السلام. I am no more than a slave, so say: His slave and His Messenger.”
