حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنٌ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ

عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كُلُّ مَوْلُودٍ يُولَدُ عَلَى الْفِطْرَةِ فَأَبَوَاهُ يُهَوِّدَانِهِ وَيُنَصِّرَانِهِ وَيُمَجِّسَانِهِ كَمَثَلِ الْبَهِيمَةِ تُنْتِجُ الْبَهِيمَةَ هَلْ تَكُونُ فِيهَا جَدْعَاءُ

English Translation

Husayn narrated to us, Ibn Abi Dhi'b narrated to us, from al-Zuhri, from Abu Salamah, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Whoever prays the funeral prayer shall have one qirat [of reward]. And whoever follows it until it is placed in the grave shall have two qirats.' It was said: 'What are the two qirats?' He said: 'Like two great mountains.'
