حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ أ
َبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ الصَّوْمُ لِي وَأَنَا أَجْزِي بِهِ يَدَعُ طَعَامَهُ وَشَرَابَهُ وَشَهْوَتَهُ مِنْ أَجْلِي فَالصَّوْمُ جُنَّةٌ وَلِلصَّائِمِ فَرْحَتَانِ فَرْحَةٌ حِينَ يُفْطِرُ وَفَرْحَةٌ حِينَ يَلْقَى اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَلَخُلُوفُ فِيهِ أَطْيَبُ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ مِنْ رِيحِ الْمِسْكِ

English Translation
Abu Nu'aym narrated to us, he said al-A'mash narrated to us, from Abu Salih, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Allah (عز وجل) says: "I am as My servant thinks of Me, and I am with him when he remembers Me. If he remembers Me within himself, I remember him within Myself. If he remembers Me in a gathering, I remember him in a gathering better than it."'
